Rising Sun was expecting a tough matchup from visiting Bohemia Manor in girl's soccer, but those thoughts went out the window after two Alle Dann goals in the first three minutes of the game. The Tigers never looked back, building a 5-1 lead at the half and ending with a final score of 8-1.
"I was really quite surprised that we jumped out to a lead like that so quickly," said Rising Sun coach Dylan Aiman. "I have always said I am really more interested in our ability to play good soccer." In racking up eight goals, Rising Sun spread the scoring well. In addition to Dann's pair of goals, Halley Wisney and Tara Norona scored two goals each. Brooke Thompson and Taylor Mocknis added a goal each. The lone Bohemia Manor goal came from Lane Brooks late int he first half.
After the game, Aiman offered this critique to his players, "The score was nice, but what was nicer is that you played good soccer." The win kept the Tigers undefeated ar 3-0 and dropped the visiting Eagles to 1-4.
